Theft is a common yet serious problem that communities face. This elderly woman was taken advantage of because of her age from a contractor who was supposed to do good work for her while getting paid. Dover stole jewelry from her and pawned it. Florida authorities: Man’s body found, baby still missing
In Miami, two people went missing. A father and daughter were missing but the father's body was just found. The child is still missing. Police are continuously looking for the infant and ask everyone to keep an eye out. They sent out an amber alert also. Gainesville police says a 16-year-old pedestrian died after sustaining injuries in a crash Monday afternoon.
On Monday a young teen was hit by a car off of Southwest 20th Ave. He was in critical condition and was taken to the hospital. The continuous problem with crime and violence in our country is one nobody can turn a blind eye to, especially news reporters. This happens all the time here in Gainesville and students have no idea the extent these underpaid university or off-campus employees are going to to get more money. The company I lease my apartment for is a well-known company around town, and their maintenance employees are criminals! They come into our homes to help us and steal something every single time, they even have no real sense of respect because they will walk into our apartments without being invited in! A big problem with a huge need for a solution.
